Key Responsibilities

The Training Officer will be responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure our recruits and current employees are trained to the highest standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Induction Training: Leading comprehensive induction programs for new recruits to familiarize them with company protocols and operational standards.
  • On-Site Training: Conducting on-site training sessions to ensure that security personnel are well-versed in their specific duties and responsibilities.
  • Evaluation and Feedback: Regularly evaluating the performance of security staff and providing constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade A PSIRA Registration: Ensuring compliance with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority standards.
  • Educational Background: Completion of matric and possession of a tertiary qualification.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar management role within the security industry.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential for delivering effective training and writing detailed reports.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive training environment and build rapport with trainees.
  • Organisational Skills: The ability to manage multiple training schedules and maintain organized records.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills for report writing, email communication, and using training software.
  • Transport and License: Reliable transport and a valid driver’s license to travel to various training sites.
