Job Description
ROLE PURPOSE
Responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of Mount Edgecombe Country Club’s facilities, ensuring optimal functionality and safety.
MAIN OUTPUTS
- Conduct regular inspections, prioritize/schedule maintenance tasks.
- Develop preventive maintenance checklists/programs.
- Manage budgets/expenses, track maintenance/facilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations/OSHA standards.
- Draft maintenance reports, measure/improve team performance.
- Oversee facilities operations (cleaning, waste management, utilities).
- Ensure safety/security/maintenance of facilities.
- Perform key plumbing & electrical maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with departments for smooth operations.
- Manage emergency situations (power outages).
- Develop/manage capital improvement projects.
- Implement fire safety measures.
- Stay updated on industry best practices/new technologies.
- Develop/Implement energy management/sustainability initiatives.
- Ensure environmental regulation compliance.
- Achieve monthly non contractual revenue targets and ensure up selling on existing services
- Ensure timely and effective maintenance of facilities
- Maintain health and safety standards
- Manage facilities-related risks and liabilities
- Collaborate with departments for seamless operations
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
The Applicant must meet the following requirements:
- Grade 12, Tertiary qualification a bonus
- 3+ years maintenance management experience.
- Strong electrical/plumbing knowledge.
- Excellent communication/problem-solving/time management skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations/standards.
- Availability for 24-hour stand-by duties.
