Reporting to: Team Leader
Purpose:
Conduct cleaning, refuse bin delivery, and related tasks, including Street Cleaning, Stacking, Sweeping, Lane Flushing, Carcass Removal, Bin Deliveries, and general duties.
Responsibilities:
– Gather materials and equipment for the day’s tasks.
– Clean designated streets, using a broom and shovel, placing refuse in bags.
– Transport refuse bags using a trolley.
– Clean all bins and report safety, equipment, and injury incidents to team leaders.

– Begin litter picking once the street is cleaned.
– Litter pick one side of the street at a time, using appropriate tools.
– Liaise with the public, service users, and officials to address complaints and queries promptly.
– Draw out the correct number of bags, distribute them, and acquaint with the designated area.
– Distribution of plastic ags to consumers according to services.
– Collect and stack refuse bags, clear spillage, and handle box removal.
– Collect new bins, check/report damages, record serial numbers, and deliver bins.
– Ensure customers sign for delivery and receive a copy of the delivery receipt.
– Repeat the procedure until all scheduled deliveries are completed.
– Ensure daily tasks are finished, and perform other delegated tasks by the supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:
– Grade 10
– Physically and mentally fit
– No criminal record
– South African citizenship
– Police Clearance
– Reside within the City of Johannesburg
– Minimum 12 months of relevant experience
Required Competencies:
– Knowledge of relevant tools, equipment, and procedures
– Understanding of relevant legislation and company procedures
