INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME: 2025/27
The Department of Transport is committed to investing in the capabilities of all people, through education and skills revolution with specific focus on the unemployed youth graduates as a measure to reduce unemployment rate. Applications are invited from promising graduates from the ages of 18 to fill the fifty (50) internship posts for the period April 2025 to March 2027. Graduate who already participated on an internship programme at Government Department or any Government entity will not be placed on the programme.
The Department will pay a minimum monthly stipend of R7 450.75.
Note: Applications must be accompanied by form Z83, obtainable from any Public Service
Department, (or obtainable at ) and a recent updated comprehensive CV (previous experience must be comprehensively detailed, i.e. positions held and dates), certified copies of all qualifications, academic record and ID document. Failure to submit the requested documents/information will result in your application not
being considered. It is the applicant’s responsibility to have foreign qualifications evaluated by the South African Qualification Authority (SAQA). The Department reserves the right not to fill the posts. The successful candidates must be willing to sign an oath of secrecy with the Department. Applicants will be expected to be available for selection interviews and assessments at a time, date and place as determined by the Department. All appointments are subject to the verification of educational qualifications, previous experience, citizenship, reference checks and security vetting. Applicants who participated on the internship programme in the past will be disqualified. Due to large volume of responses anticipated, receipt of application will not be acknowledged and correspondences will only be entered with shortlisted candidates.
