Job Description

Position Purpose: To provide technical support for Broll’s daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed to the required performance standards.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties:

  1. Document all job instructions on the Broll platform or a job card.
  2. Complete all administrative work promptly upon task completion.
  3. Verify job details with support staff to ensure accurate information for task completion and invoicing.
  4. Maintain cleanliness at all job sites post-task completion.
  5. Confirm client satisfaction upon task completion and address any concerns.
  6. Manage and maintain vehicle stock, keeping accurate records.
  7. Conduct safety checks on vehicles and maintain inspection records.
  8. Report unsafe conditions and follow up on resolutions.
  9. Be flexible for overtime or weekend work as needed, informed by reporting lines.
  10. Communicate commitment times to clients and inform them of any delays promptly.
  11. Report unsafe working conditions and prioritize safety.
  12. Immediately report incidents or accidents to reporting lines and office support.
  13. Report work-related injuries and follow proper procedures.
  14. Identify and communicate unsafe conditions while working with clients.
  15. Adhere to client requests and approved quotes; inform clients of additional costs for extra work.
  16. Maintain professionalism, be clear about your identity and tasks, and stay productive.
  17. Ensure you have the right tools in safe working condition.
  18. Regularly perform tool checks and file reports to support safe tool usage.
  19. Wear proper PPE in clean, good condition, and report issues.
  20. Do not misuse company vehicles for private use and get authorization for travel.
  21. Avoid theft of time, tools, money, or company property, as these are dismissible offenses.
  22. Close off work instructions/job cards upon task completion and display ARM sticker for client contact details.
  23. Obtain client sign-off and report any issues to your reporting line.

Conduct:

  • Maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Only interact with clients when approved by Broll PM.
  • Follow reporting lines for work.

Performance Measurements:

  • Performance measured based on client SLAs and feedback from management and reporting structures.

Education/Certification:

  • Grade 12
  • Plumber trade test
  • Driver’s license
  • South African citizenship
  • No criminal record

Required Knowledge:

  • Computer skills, including IT management systems, reporting, and meetings.

Experience Required:

  • 2-3 years of similar experience

Skills/Abilities:

  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Cooperative and willing to assist others.
  • Excellent communication and administrative skills.
  • Dependable and flexible.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in PC and basic business machines.
